2018 Board of Directors Candidate Nominations

Nominations are open 30 August - 30 September, 2018

CURRENT Board of directors

This time every year the ISSTD seeks out engaged, energetic, and creative members who would like to be nominated for the positions available on the Board of Directors. These positions allow members to move into a leadership role and stamp their own ideas and vision on the ISSTD through direct engagement with other Board members in moving the Society forward in a manner that best represents our members and which is consistent with our mission.

ISSTD continues to grow and move forward. Aside from our Annual Conference, we are now running more Regional Conferences, Webinars, and Professional Training Programs than ever before. We also have a very lively and ever-changing Virtual Book Club, and alongside our scientific journal (The Journal of Trauma & Dissociation) we now also have a thriving clinical e-journal (Frontiers in the Psychotherapy of Trauma & Dissociation). Yet, we continue to have a great energy and desire to 1) grow and expand what we offer for members, 2) strongly represent the complex trauma and dissociation field internationally, and 3) support therapists and researchers to engage in their challenging work.

You now have the opportunity to play a central role in these developments by being nominated for the Board of Directors. Or you may know of another member whose enthusiasm and leadership we could benefit from and who may agree to you nominating.

Nominations are now open for positions of Director Member, Secretary, and for the office of President-Elect.  Nominated Board Members should have good skills working with others and experience working within ISSTD. President-Elect and Secretary nominees should have experience as Board members. Please consider nominating someone, or asking others to nominate you! The Board experience is fun, collegial, and important. The nomination window will run from 30 August – 30 September 2018.

Below please find information regarding the openings that will begin, 1 January 2019.  Elections will follow shortly after the close of the nomination window.

Please take a moment and make your recommendations so that we can continue the work of our strong, meaningful professional home. On behalf of the Nominating Committee, thank you in advance for your participation in this vital member role.
