In November 2006 this organization took a new name that included
the word "trauma." It's not that the work we did,
or the things we thought about had changed. It's just that
our new name more accurately reflects the reality of our professional
worlds.
In response to that change this website has been supplemented
with new information about trauma and dissociation
that include these FAQs and a new feature, an annotated bibliography.
The intention is to start out with a select group of articles
that an equally select group of professionals believes gives
the reader a good overview of quality writing/thinking about
specific areas of interest related to understanding psychological
and other traumas and the field of dissociation studies.
If you would like to recommend an article for inclusion in
our library, please write the
website editor.
We hope you can make good use of our efforts to educate fellow
professionals and the public.
