Utilizing cutting edge clinical developments and research from this course you will:

Understand the connection between trauma and childhood symptoms

Learn how trauma affects the developing brain

Recognize dissociative symptoms with current assessment tools

Learn techniques to stabilize children/adolescents with dysregulated affect and disturbing behaviors

Resolve attachment dilemmas in traumatized children

Learn techniques to manage self-injury, trance states, rage reactions, sexual acting out, obsessive-compulsive symptoms

Learn how to work with the family system

Learn how to interface with schools, health care, and the legal arena.
