Understand the connection between trauma and childhood symptoms

Learn how trauma affects the developing brain

Recognize dissociative symptoms with current assessment tools

Learn techniques to stabilize children/adolescents with dysregulated affect and disturbing behaviors

Resolve attachment dilemmas in traumatized children

Learn techniques to manage self-injury, trance states, rage reactions, sexual acting out, obsessive-compulsive symptoms

Learn how to interface with schools, health care, and the legal arena.
Fran
S. Waters, LMSW, DCSW, LMFT ,is the past president of the
International Society for The Study of Trauma and Dissociation,
serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Child
Adolescent Trauma, and is the liaison to the American
Psychological Association’s Trauma Division representing
the National Association of Social Workers. She authored
4 chapters in The Dissociative Child, and has written
numerous articles in this specialty. She has conducted extensive training
programs in four continents and maintains a private practice
in Marquette, MI.
