About ISSTD Regional Online Comunities

ISSTD Regional Online Communities (ROCs) are open to all ISSTD Members who are located in a specific geographical area. ISSTD ROCs have been developed by members for members, and are geared to provide ISSTD members with connection and discussion with other members in their area.

Currently Active Regional Online Communities

Asia Regional Online Community (ROC)
This Regional Online Community was approved by the ISSTD board in 2023. The purpose of this ROC to further the understanding of complex trauma and dissociation in Asia. This group will support the creation, discussion and dissemination of knowledge about complex trauma and dissociation in Asia by bringing together the members of the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD) located in Asia, and to work with ISSTD to support the education and training of clinicians and researchers in Asia.

Australia/New Zealand Regional Online Community
This Regional Online Community was approved by the ISSTD board in 2022. The purpose of this ROC is to increase the presence of ISSTD in the Australia/New Zealand region, create collaboration and community amongst therapists who work with complex trauma and dissociation, create a venue for additional training and opportunities, and improve outcomes for clients. There will be a specific focus on support and networking for ISSTD members within the ANZ region, promotion of ISSTD within region, and to support and participate in the development of the CT and DD field within ANZ region. Those wishing to join must be geographically located in the Australia/New Zealand Region.

Mid-Atlantic Regional Online Community
This Regional Online Community was approved by the ISSTD board in 2021. The purpose of this ROC is to increase the presence of ISSTD in the Mid-Atlantic region, create collaboration and community This Regional Online Community was approved by the ISSTD board in 2021. The purpose of this ROC is to increase the presence of ISSTD in the Mid-Atlantic region, create collaboration and community amongst therapists who work with complex trauma and dissociation, create a venue for additional training and opportunities, and improve outcomes for clients. There will be a specific focus on education focused on the complexitiy of trauma, dissociation spectrum, and peer discussion. Those wishing to join must be geographically located in the Mid-Atlantic Region (NY, NJ, PA, DE, MD, WV, VA, DC, NC, SC).

Ontario Regional Online Community
This Regional Online Community was approved by the ISSTD board in 2020. The purpose of this ROC is to increase the presence of ISSTD in Ontario, create collaboration and community amongst therapists who work with complex trauma and dissociation, create a venue for additional training and opportunities, improve outcomes for clients. Those wishing to join must be geographically located in Ontario, Canada.

Southern Regional Online Community
This Regional Online Community was approved by the ISSTD board in 2022. The purpose of this ROC is to increase the presence of ISSTD in the Southern region, create collaboration and community amongst therapists who work with complex trauma and dissociation, create a venue for additional training and opportunities, and improve outcomes for clients. There will be a specific focus on education focused on the complexity of trauma, dissociation spectrum, and peer discussion. Those wishing to join must be geographically located in the Southern Region (AZ, NM, TX, OK, AR, LA).

Southeastern Regional Online Community (ROC)
This Regional Online Community was approved by the ISSTD board in 2023. The purpose of this ROC is to increase the presence of ISSTD in the Southeastern region, create collaboration and community amongst therapists who work with complex trauma and dissociation, create a venue for additional training and opportunities, and improve outcomes for clients. There will be a specific focus on education focused on the complexity of trauma, dissociation spectrum, and peer discussion. Those wishing to join must be geographically located in the Southeastern Region (KY, TN, MS, AL, GA and FL)
