Education in the areas of complex trauma and dissociation is a key focus of the Society. ISSTD brings together experts in the field to create training and events for everyone from students in a mental health discipline to experienced clinicians.

In recent years, we have expanded our training and event opportunities to include conferences, professional training program courses, modality training courses, seminars, and webinars. Many of our training opportunities are available in virtual formats to allow participants from around the world to expand their knowledge in the areas of complex trauma and dissociation.

ISSTD created the Center for Advanced Studies in Trauma and Dissociation to connect our training opportunities and develop a certificate program that interlinks all educational programs of ISSTD. All programs are based on the Core Areas of Knowledge identified by field leaders in 2010.

In 2021, ISSTD launched its Online Learning Center. This centralized library features over 500 hours of recorded content from past webinars, conferences, and seminars. Practitioners can access these learning materials anytime, anywhere.

All those participating in training and events through ISSTD are expected to comply with our Training & Events Code of Conduct. This ensures that all participants have a safe and supportive conference experience.
