Washington, DC Master Seminar 2017

Course Description:

Master Classes were created when students requested additional training after completing the Advanced level of courses. They wished to continue further studies with the guidance of a senior clinician/instructor. These classes have become a valuable professional resource for participants.

Course Objectives:

At the completion of this seminar, participants will have state-of-the-art knowledge to increase their diagnostic and treatment skills with clients who present with Complex Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Dissociative Disorders. The seminar is designed for the study of academic and clinical material at a Master’s level.  This session will begin with an understanding of the theories of traumatic loss and practical psychotherapeutic interventions. Next, the seminar will cover a comprehensive appreciation of states of being as influenced by memory, trauma, and identity and related to function. The final section will cover an in-depth understanding of the therapeutic relationship, assessment, and treatment of trauma-related dissociation. It will include a practical, integrative approach to a framework for working with trauma survivors.
