About ISSTD

The International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation is an international, non-profit, professional association organized to develop and promote comprehensive, clinically effective and empirically based resources and responses to trauma and dissociation and to address its relevance to other theoretical constructs. Check out the different categories of membership here.

Education is one of the primary goals of the Society. In recent years we have expanded our training opportunities to include conferences, professional training program courses, and webinars. Many of our training opportunities are available in virtual formats to allow participants from around the world to expand their knowledge in the areas of complex trauma and dissociation. For a current list of training opportunities, please visit our Training Calendar.

In 2010, ISSTD created the Center for Advanced Studies in Trauma and Dissociation to connect our training opportunities and develop a certificate program that interlinks these trainings based upon the Core Areas of Knowledge.
