2020 Virtual Congress

We are thrilled to announce our first-ever multi-day Virtual Congress. Attendees will have the opportunity to view live workshops from presenters across the globe from the comfort of their own home.

The conference will kick off on Friday with a series of full day pre-conference workshops. The main conference begins on Saturday with a an opening plenary workshop by Karlen Lyons-Ruth followed by four streams of concurrent sessions and concluding with a plenary workshop by Pat Ogden. Sunday will feature four streams of three hour workshops in the morning and afternoon and a mid-day plenary workshop by A.A.T. Simone Reinders. Registration Rates

Registration includes live access to presentations on the days selected and access to recordings from that day as well. CE/CME credits purchased at the time of registration are available for sessions attended live only. Credits for watching recorded sessions will be available after the conference for an additional fee.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be received in writing via email or fax. A processing fee of $75 will be charged for cancellations received on or before May 1, 2020 at 5:00pm EDT. No refunds will be issued for no-shows. Refund requests will not be accepted after May 1, 2020. Not all requests will be granted. Substitutions for attendees are accepted at any time.

Registration Options and Discounts

Registration Categories

Student
Student registration is open to those enrolled in a program of study leading to a degree or certification in the mental health field and who have an interest in trauma and dissociation. Student registration is also open to trainees and interns in the mental health professions who are practicing under supervision. Proof of student status such as a transcript, copy of course registration, or letter from a supervisor for trainees/interns is required.

Emerging Professional
Emerging Professional registration is open mental health professionals who have completed an advanced degree and are in the first three years of their career. The three year timeframe is based on date licensed for clinicians or the date of graduation for researchers.

Professional
Professional registration is open to professionals primarily involved in the provision of services, research, education, scholarship, writing or public policy in an area related to trauma and dissociation. Members who are mental health or health care providers must be either licensed professionals or qualified within the accepted legal or cultural standards for conducting clinical practice in his or her locale.

Emerging Professional Discounts
Emerging Professional members are eligible for a $100 discount off registration.

Group Discounts
Discounts are available to groups of five or more individuals from the same facility, school, or organization.

Dr. Karlen Lyons-Ruth is Professor of Psychology at Harvard Medical School and Director of the Biobehavioral Family Studies Lab at Cambridge Health Alliance.   She is a recognized leader in the study of the effects of early trauma, disorganized attachment relationships, and disrupted parent-child communication on the development of adult psychopathology and neurobiological functioning.  A number of instruments for the assessment of disturbed attachment relationships in infancy, childhood, and adolescence have been developed in her lab and are now used internationally.

Pat Ogden, PhD, is a pioneer in somatic psychology and both Founder and Education Director of Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute®, an internationally recognized school specializing in somatic–cognitive approaches for the treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder and attachment disturbances. She is co-founder of the Hakomi Institute, a clinician, consultant, international lecturer and trainer, and first author of Trauma and the Body: A Sensorimotor Approach to Psychotherapy.  Her second book, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy: Interventions for Trauma and Attachment (2015) is a practical guide to integrate Sensorimotor Psychotherapy® into the treatment of trauma and attachment issues.  Dr. Ogden is currently developing Sensorimotor Psychotherapy® for children, adolescents and families with colleagues.

Dr. A.A.T. Simone Reinders is an award winning leading neuroscientist and international expert in the neurobiology of trauma and dissociation. As a senior research associate Simone is currently working on the research line entitled “Neuroimaging the Aetiology of Dissociative Identity Disorder” at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neurosciences (IoPPN) of King’s College London (KCL). Simone is considered to be in the top 10% of her peer group internationally with a total of 39 peer reviewed publications and she was successful in leading a multi-center neuroimaging project funded by a prestigious early career fellowship. Her research has shed new light on the aetiology of DID by showing that identity state-dependent rCBF patterns in DID cannot be simulated and that DID and PTSD share trauma-related neurobiomarkers.
